Corrections and factual disputes
This is the mail we care most about. Doubao’s feature set, pricing and regional availability move quickly, and pages that were accurate at publication can drift out of date. If you have spotted something wrong, please include the page URL, the specific sentence, and — if you have one — a link to a source that shows what the correct position is. Screenshots of app-store listings or in-app screens from your own country are genuinely useful, because availability often differs from what we can see.
We handle corrections the way our editorial policy describes: substantive fixes are made in the article and noted with a date, minor fixes are made silently, and unverifiable claims get removed rather than softened.
Coverage suggestions
If there is a Doubao question you cannot find a straight answer to in English, tell us. Reader questions are one of the main ways we decide what to write next, particularly questions about access from specific countries, about which features are available without a mainland Chinese account, and about what the app does with your data.
What we cannot help with
We want to be straightforward about our limits so you do not waste your time:
- Doubao account support. We are not ByteDance and have no access to any Doubao account, subscription, billing record or moderation decision. We cannot recover a locked account, refund anything, or escalate a complaint. Those requests have to go to the operator through the app’s own support channel.
- Workarounds for regional or verification restrictions. We document officially supported sign-up and access paths only. We will not advise on circumventing phone verification, regional app-store restrictions or platform terms of service, and we do not link to third-party APK mirrors.
- Individual technical support. We cannot debug your API integration, your device or your network.
- Guest posts and paid links. We do not accept them, in any form, at any price. Pitches of this kind are deleted unread.
